Heidi Weigel, LPC
Heidi joins the Compassion Fix Team as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), specializing in therapy for kids ages 6 - 18. Heidi holds a BS in elementary education from Kansas State University and an MA in counseling from MNU. She recently completed a certificate in Play Therapy also from MNU. Heidi has worked in the school setting at both the elementary and middle school levels. She is the proud mother of three grown children and understands the many challenges children are facing today. Heidi is passionate about supporting kids as they navigate challenges such as anxiety, perfectionism, negative self-talk, lack of confidence, loneliness, and difficult transitions.
In order to create a comfortable environment, Heidi considers each child’s age, personality, interests, and presenting issues when selecting a therapeutic approach. Although each client’s path is different, she strives to provide therapy that will empower children and teens as they gain personal insight, seek growth, and implement strategies to create a meaningful path forward.
As a collaborative team, Heidi works closely with parents in a non-judgmental environment to strengthen family connections and discover new ways to support their child.
Heidi enjoys spending time in nature, the sound of her kids laughing, discovering new places with her husband, and challenging herself with all kinds of creative endeavors.
